Drain Problems Aren’t Always Just a Clog
A slow or backed-up drain can be caused by a local blockage, heavy buildup, or a larger sewer-line problem. Repeated clogs, gurgling fixtures, foul odors, and multiple drains backing up at once can point to different conditions within the system.
Our plumbers start with what you’re experiencing, then use the appropriate equipment to clear the line and determine whether further inspection, locating, hydro jetting, or sewer repair is needed.
Professional Drain Equipment
Sewer machines, cameras, locating equipment, and hydro jetting help us diagnose and clear different types of drain problems.
Residential & Commercial
We service household drains, building sanitary lines, commercial kitchens, floor drains, and other high-use drainage systems.
Diagnose Recurring Problems
Repeated backups may require more than another cable run. We look for the condition causing the problem when further inspection is warranted.
Repair When Clearing Isn’t Enough
When damaged piping, roots, separation, or other defects are found, we can help determine the appropriate sewer repair.
Not Every Drain Problem Needs the Same Solution
A simple fixture clog, a grease-heavy commercial line, and a damaged sewer main require very different tools and repair strategies. We start with the symptoms, determine the appropriate access point, and use the service that matches the condition of the line.
Signs Your Drain or Sewer Line Needs Attention
A single slow drain may be a localized problem, but recurring clogs, multiple affected fixtures, odors, gurgling, or wastewater backups can point to a larger drainage issue.
Slow Drains
Water draining slowly from sinks, tubs, showers, or floor drains may indicate buildup or a developing blockage.
Repeated Clogs
A drain that keeps backing up after clearing may point to a deeper or recurring problem in the line.
Gurgling Fixtures
Gurgling toilets or drains can indicate restricted airflow, partial blockage, or drainage problems farther downstream.
Sewer Odors
Persistent sewer smells may be caused by drainage, venting, trap, or sewer-line conditions that should be evaluated.
Multiple Fixtures
When several fixtures are affected at once, the problem may be located in a shared branch or main sewer line.
Water Backups
Wastewater appearing in tubs, showers, floor drains, or lower fixtures can indicate a serious downstream blockage.
Is It a Clog or a Sewer-Line Problem?
You do not need to know which one you have before scheduling. Tell us what is happening and we can determine where to start.
Local Drain Problem
A single sink, tub, shower, or toilet that is draining poorly or completely backed up usually has a localized blockage near that specific fixture or within its branch pipe.
Common signs:
-
one fixture affected
-
localized slow drainage
-
no other backups
-
problem started recently
Main Sewer Problem
If several fixtures are backing up at once, lower drains are overflowing, or the problem repeatedly returns, the blockage may be farther downstream.
Common signs:
-
multiple fixtures affected
-
toilets and tubs backing up together
-
floor drains overflowing
-
recurring main-line blockages
What Happens When You Schedule Drain Service?
You do not need to know whether you need snaking, hydro jetting, a camera inspection, or sewer repair before calling. We start with the symptoms and determine the appropriate next step.
1. Tell Us What Is Backing Up
Let us know which fixtures are affected, when the problem started, and whether more than one drain is involved in the backup.
2. We Determine the Best Access
The plumber evaluates the affected fixtures and available cleanouts to determine where the blockage is likely located.
3. We Clear & Evaluate the Line
Depending on the condition, we may use a sewer machine, camera, locator, or hydro jetting equipment to restore flow.
4. We Explain What We Found
If the line is clear, we confirm operation. If damage or recurring buildup is found, we explain the recommended next step.
Professional Drain Cleaning
Most drain problems start with buildup, debris, grease, paper products, hair, or other material restricting flow. A professional sewer machine can break through many common blockages and restore normal drainage.
If the line repeatedly clogs or the machine cannot pass normally, that may be a sign that the problem is not just a simple blockage.

See What Is Happening Inside the Line
When a drain problem keeps returning or we suspect damaged piping, a sewer camera can provide useful information about the condition of accessible piping.
Camera inspection may reveal roots, standing water, buildup, offsets, separation, damaged pipe, or other visible conditions. Electronic locating can also help trace the line and identify the approximate location of the camera head underground.
When Hydro Jetting Makes Sense
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the inside walls of appropriate drain and sewer piping. It can be especially useful for grease, sludge, scale, and recurring buildup that may not be fully removed by conventional cable cleaning.
Hydro jetting is not the right choice for every line. We consider the condition of the piping, access, blockage type, and known defects before recommending it.
When Clearing the Line Is Not Enough
Some sewer problems are caused by the condition of the pipe itself rather than material inside it. Roots, broken sections, separation, collapse, poor slope, or deteriorated piping may continue causing problems until the damaged area is repaired.
Depending on the location and condition, repair may involve targeted excavation, section replacement, rerouting, trenchless methods where appropriate, or larger sewer replacement.
We recommend the repair based on the actual condition and location of the failure—not simply because a backup occurred.
